You Octopi My Thoughts

It's time for another new challenge at Craft Your Passion. Our theme this week is Citrus or Tropical Colours. Our sponsor this challenge is ZapPow Designs and I chose to work with this fun little octopus. I printed Ollie on a pale orangey yellow designer paper and then coloured him completely with Prismacolor pencils.

I printed him a second time on white paper and coloured the glasses and the bow tie and then fussy cut them to adhere over the original. Ollie was then mounted onto a punched black cardstock circle which was popped up on foam tape.

The background started with a sparkly orange paper layered over a white card base. The next layer was  a scrap of designer paper matted in black. A layer of wider orange ribbon was topped with a narrower yellow ribbon and both were wrapped to the back. Three hot pink buttons were threaded with black embroidery floss and adhered over the ribbon.

The sentiment comes with this fun image. It was printed on white cardstock and coloured with Prismacolor pencils before being matted on black cardstock. The sentiment was also popped up on foam tape. A photo corner was punched and added to the bottom left corner to complete the card.

Thanks for joining Ollie and me today. We appreciate your stopping by. When you get a minute, pop over to the Craft Your Passion Challenges blog to see the great projects created by my talented teamies. We'd love it if you decided to play along with our Citrus or Tropical Colours challenge. Hope to see you there!

Life is good; so is art.
